We’ve dedicated this area to be a general display and demonstration zone where you can browse the stands, talk to vendors, try out their tools and stock-up on equipment and essentials in between seminars.

What can you expect from Classic Hand Tools? They will have demonstrations of hand tools from Lie-Nielsen Toolworks with John Parkinson and Robin Nolan travelling over the pond for you. Richard Wile of Lee Valley Tools is travelling from Canada to see you alongside Ryan Saunders to demonstrate and answer your questions on the Veritas range of tools. David Barron makes a welcome return to the show scene and will be cutting dovetails for you using his new Veritas made David Barron Dovetail guides, Japanese pull saws and Knew Concepts fret saws. Ian Parker, fresh from teaching his brilliant and absorbing 2 day Illustrating Course, will be answering any of your questions on cabinet making techniques. Ian is working on his online courses so ask him about his progress/plans and launch dates. A selection of books from Lost Art Press will be available with Chris Schwarz, Megan Fitzpatrick, Richard Arnold and Derek Jones in the house to sign their books. Ryan Saunders will be also sharpening by hand using Shapton’s Kuromaku Professional sharpening stones from Japan. Michel Auriou, maker of the best hand stitched rasps and rifflers in the world is also due for both days. Challenge him as to why he thinks his rasp making techniques produce the best precision shaping tools for wood. He has the answers after 50 years of rasp making!
