The new London woodworking weekend show

26 – 27 October

Saturday 10.00 – 5.00pm and Sunday 10.00 – 4.00pm

We hope you’re looking forward to London IWF as much as we are, it’s been on the drawing board for more than a year and now that the negotiations are over it’s time to spill the beans and tell you a little more about the event.

Held in a brand new purpose built technical college (London Design & Engineering UTC ), we are perfectly geared up to deliver a range of demonstrations and seminars from some of the worlds most influential craftspeople across a range disciplines. Over the weekend you’ll be able to mingle with the crowds and enjoy a drink and a bite with likeminded folk and take one of our drop in classes. For something a little more in depth and hands on you can enrol in one of our premium 3 and 5 day short classes in the weeks before and after.

Classic Hand Tools & friends will be supporting the event to include tools and demonstrations from Lie Nielsen Toolworks and many more. Plus, Axminster Tools are supporting the event with demonstrations from Tormek, Veritas and UJK

Classic Hand Tools

Have been selling best quality hand tools for over 15 years now from their small base in Suffolk. They send tools all over the world! They are bringing a small selection of hand tools for you to peruse and try out including tools from Lie Nielsen Toolworks, Bad Axe Saws, David Barron, Auriou, Starrett, Sterling Toolworks & more.

ROGER BENTON from LIE NIELSEN TOOLWORKS will be on their stall between his honing guide demonstrations. Roger will be able to answer most if not all of your questions regarding tools from the Lie Nielsen range plus sharpening with the TOISHI OHISHI Japanese waterstones.

Classic Hand Tools are pleased to co-sponsor the MORTISE & TENON MAGAZINE stand which will have contributor Richard Arnold helping out. Mortise & Tenon 7, the latest magazine due out very soon, is scheduled to be at the show.

Classic Hand Tools will also have the full range of books from LOST ART PRESS and Chris Schwarz will be about to sign a few copies here and there.

If you arrive by public transport and don’t fancy lugging tools or books home with you, then worry not as Classic Hand Tools will arrange to ship the goods to you (possibly for free, it depends where you live!)

We are pleased to support the inaugural London International Woodworking Festival and hope to meet many of our existing customers and maybe meet many more new ones. If there is anything you want them to bring to the event, give them a call on 01473 784983 or drop them a line at
